I loved this book, and frankly there are much better reviews out there, so I am not going into it here. The book was so strong, the plot was good, Merit's interactions with others and her grief over Ethan, all resonated with me. I would have given this book 5 stars until we got to the big reveal of who the villain was. The whys and wherefores did not sit well with me. I realize that this is a set up for the next book, which I will gladly read, but it's why it's not 5 stars in my opinion.
