This is a hard book to review. It's only tangentially about zombies. What it's really about is journalists (bloggers) covering the primary campaign of a presidential candidate. I didn't realize that going in, and I found the first 40% to be really slow going. I don't necessarily like to read about journalists covering a presidential primary.
However, the action starts in at 41%, and while not a non-stop roller coaster ride, it does start to get really interesting. Bad things happen. Our brother/sister team, who are really great together, have to figure out who is causing the bad things to happen. And then we get to the last 10% of the book, and it is stunning. Unfortunately I cannot describe it without giving anything away, but I was sucker punched at midnight, and could not put the book down after that.
It made me feel unbelievable emotions, and I had to find out what happened next immediately. That's what I want from books!
